Hike to Raven Rocks/Crescent Rock West Virginia

The walk from route 7 to Raven Rocks/Crescent Rock is just under three miles along the Appalachian Trail.  The view is beautiful, with a good view of the surrounding area and a lot of new growth trees.

This hike is located in the northern part of the VA AT "Roller Coaster", and includes a couple of smaller (less than 500 foot) climbs.  There are several nice overlooks & creeks at the bottom of the last climb is covered in stones, but the overviews are best seen when the trees have shed their leaves.  As you cross the last creek before the climb to Raven Rocks note the old stone wall on the right side.

The "Welcome to West Virginia" sign comes a few hundred feet before you reach the cliffs.
